When considering a vacation in places like the Bahamas and Hawaii, another tropical paradise to consider in the USA are the Florida Keys. The Florida Keys are a chain of isles spanning about 160 miles below Miami. They are between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. They are divided into the 5 named areas: Key Largo, Marathon, Islamorada, Lower Keys, and Key West.

Unlike other tropical paradises like Hawaii and the Bahamas, the Florida Keys are only a short drive from the city of Miami Florida. The Florida Keys offer a great vacation place that rivals many others. Accommodations come in full range from affordable all the way to luxurious. Private weekly rentals are also available. The Keys can be an excellent vacation destination for everyone, offering your whole family a great vacation in the Florida Sun.

The beaches of the Florida Keys have much to offer, with many to choose from. With some of the most unspoiled waters of the world, you will find plenty sun and fun. Whether you love your swimming, ocean boating, fishing, scuba, or diving, the Florida Keys have most if not all of what you desire. If you like more privacy, you might put extra consideration towards the uninhabited secluded beaches of Islamorada or Marathon Island.

There is much to do in the Florida Keys. Each of the areas has their own culture and heritage. They all have their own continuous events calendar to keep your whole family happy while on your vacation. The Florida Keys are renowned for being full of the arts.

While you are in the Florida Keys, you will notice the strong feeling that you are away from large cities. You can relax, or get excited, in ways that you expect to on your vacation. You will probably find that some of the year round residents of the Florida Keys call it the 51^st state as there is a feeling of independence there.

As with any vacation there are many travel packages available for the Florida Keys. When shopping you will want to check many choices and pick the best. The most important aspect is start planning well in advance. This way you will find that most options are still available and often at the lowest prices. This applies especially when it comes to housing accommodations.

Be smart though, and while looking make sure to check square trade and The Better Business Bureau as with so many vendors there will probably be some great ones, and of course some that are questionable.

Once you have had a vacation in the enchanting Florida Keys, you will know why many other vacationers love the Keys. You can come back, or you might just decide to live there in the Florida Keys.
